Country Manager, IDC Egypt
As country manager for IDC Egypt, Hossam Sayed Helmi is responsible for planning and managing IDC's research and consulting agenda in the country. He also drives IDC Egypt's critical business development and sales management functions.
Hossam's IT career began in 1990 and he has since performed many roles within the information engineering arena, moving from hardware to software to management and to sales and business development.
After stints in Saudi Arabia and the United States, he returned to Egypt and took root at Oracle, enabling existing customers to build IT architecture in support of business growth through Infrastructure and AppsTech advisory services across MEA accounts.
He then became senior manager of EPM sales for Africa and Levant, leading both Oracle Application Indirect Sales and all field sales of the Enterprise Performance Management Application portfolio across the emerging cluster. In this position, he championed the vendor's work with African Finance Ministries, providing them with solutions for implementing IMF Reform Programs.
Prior to joining IDC, Hossam was in charge of developing roadmaps for NABD’s cloud solutions, focusing on ensuring SaaS offering capability across multiple cloud providers, in accordance with customer and market trends. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Computers from Ain Shams University and an MBA from Paris ESLSCA Business School.
